Lake Street Project
Originally an old lake bed in the beginning years of Shreveport, Lake Street buildings date back to the turn of the last century. The 400 block of Lake Street had seen continued decline over the past 50 years until its 2014 restoration by Vintage Design Group and iArchitecture. The newly developed block contains office space, commercial kitchen for manufacturing and retail. The historic brick with original painted signs blends into the industrial contemporary architecture of this new 4,600 square foot office space. Originally a cherished piece of local history, this historic building has been thoughtfully revitalized to offer inspiring, modern office spaces while preserving its unique character. Marrying the old with the new, we introduced contemporary features like sleek, functional workspaces, open-concept lounges, and an unexpected twist—a slide connecting floors, adding a playful touch to the workday. This project honors the building’s legacy while bringing a fresh, creative energy to the heart of the city.
